Financial Analyst Internship leading to full-time hire – Position based in Peterborough NH

LotLinx is looking for a financial analyst intern with a path to a full-time position to analyze the past and present financial data of the organization and estimate future revenues and expenditures and to report and investigate the cause of significant variances to the company plan. Main duties include:

– Researching, analyzing and summarizing key financial information on the organization and creating financial reports and schedules summarizing the salient points,
– Assist in the development of the company plan and maintaining monthly forecasts,
– Modelling the financial impact to the plan of key operational decisions,
– Interact with the accounting team and provide assistance to accounting functions including journal entry and key account reconciliations as required,
– Organize data into accessible reports and perform various types of analysis using key metrics such as yearly growth, churn analysis and division profitability,
– Benchmark company performance in comparison to competitors using publicly available financial reports,
– Analytical review of current and proposed compensation plans and modeling their impact on the company plan,
– Prepare reports and projections based on analysis,
– Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement,
– Create and maintain financial models.
– 0-2 years relevant experience

Education Requirements

– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration – Senior or recently graduated.
– Strong ability in Excel.
– Understanding of the principles of finance and accounting.
